Vasari geht an dieser Stelle zuvor auf den Disegno als Vater der Künste ein: »io dirò bene che dell’una e dell’altra arte il disegno – che è il fondamento di quelle, anzi l’istessa anima che concèpe e nutrisce in se medesima tutti i parti degli intelletti« (vgl.
