Der Porträtstich wurde bereits von Peltzer als mögliche Vorlage für Sandrarts Porträtzeichnung des Künstlers im Cod. icon. 366 erwähnt, die als Vorzeichnung für das Vitenporträt Raffaels in der Teutschen Academie diente, was von Mazzetti di Pietralata bestätigt wurde; vgl.
