Theologe, Altphilologe, Kirchenliederdichter, Schulmann und Prediger an der St. Sebaldkirche in Nürnberg, geb. 1604, gest. 1669, aus Themar/Thüringen, studierte in Leipzig, Wittenberg, Altdorf und Jena, wo er ab 1635 als Rektor beschäftigt war. Seine Büchersammlung, die er 1669 dem Kapitel von St. Sebald vermacht hatte, kam im 19. Jahrhundert in das Landeskirchliche Archiv der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Bayern mit Sitz in Nürnberg; vgl. NDB, Bd. III, S. 717 f.
