Von den diversen italienischen Landschaften, die Both in ein morgendliches Licht taucht, wurde hier als Vergleichsbeispiel die Italienische Landschaft mit der Milvischen Brücke ausgewählt. Eine Kopie nach einem solchen Werk mag Sandrart besessen haben.
