Annotations
Bei der Rötelzeichnung handelt es sich um die Vorzeichnung für das Bildnis des Demon auf Tafel D der TA 1675; vgl. Mazzetti di Pietralata 2011, S. 165, Kat.-Nr. 164. Als Vorlage für das Porträt verwendete Sandrart die von Natalis gestochene Büste in der Galleria Giustiniana, als deren Zeichner er laut Mazzetti di Pietralata nicht völlig auszuschließen ist, und nicht seine eigene in Rom gefertigte und heute in Dresden aufbewahrte Zeichnung; s. Mazzetti di Pietralata 2011, S. 108, Kat.-Nr. 26.
