Für einige Darstellungen der Tafel konnten Vorlagen aus Agostini, Gemme antiche identifiziert werden. Im Münchener Codex iconographicus 366 hat sich eine Vorzeichnung der Kaiserbüste aus Sandrarts Hand erhalten.
