Wie schon Sponsel zeigen konnte, ist die Radierung das Vorbild für das Vitenporträt Renis in der Teutschen Academie; vgl. Sponsel 1896, S. 158, Nr. 128 c). Lucia Simonato verwies darauf, dass das Format auf ein Brustbild verkleinert wurde; vgl. Simonato 2010, S. 275.
