Mit diesem Bildnis dürfte aus der Reihe von Tizians Selbstporträts die Fassung um 1562 gemeint sein, die aus Tizians Besitz an Philipp IV. verkauft wurde (vgl. Wethey 1969–75, Bd. II, S. 144).
