Annotation
Sandrart dürfte das ehemals im Besitz Philipps II. befindliche Gemälde meinen, das 1873 bei einem Brand in London zerstört wurde (vgl. Wethey 1969–75, Bd. I, S. 148). Eine visuelle Vorstellung hat sich durch die Reproduktionsstiche von Cornelis Cort (1567) und Luca Giordano (1695) erhalten.
