Während für die obere Darstellung ein Stich aus Lafrérys Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae [Lafréry, Antoine (Hrsg.): Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae, ] als Vorlage identifiziert werden konnte, scheint es sich bei der unteren Szene um eine Schöpfung Sandrarts zu handeln. Es hat sich eine Vorzeichnung aus seiner Hand erhalten.
